The TF135 F/Eb Travel Tuba, Bubbie 5, is probably the smallest and smartest real tuba in the world. ‘Bubbie 5’ is super compact, as well as fun to play. Fitted with five rotary valves, by default the tuba plays in F, with the fifth valve being a flat tone, enabling it to be played fully chromatically down to the lowest register. By connecting the fifth valve lever and fitting a one-tone slide, the air goes through the fifth valve, making it play in Eb. Pull out other valve slides for tuning and it becomes an Eb tuba with an ascending fifth valve. Neat!
