Wychavon Festival of Brass Results
Roberts Bakery under the leadership of Mike Jones were worthy winners at the recent Wychavon Festival of Brass, with Wantage Silver and Parc & Dare taking the silver and bronze spots. Roberts Bakery also won the ‘Entertainment Prize’ along with an invitation to the Spring Festival Senior Trophy.
Commenting on the impressive win a spokesperson for the band stated, “We enjoyed a lovely day out in Evesham. The band worked really hard off the back of the Bolsover contest to refine its performance and really polish the entertainments programme. Thankfully, that hard work paid off and we won the championship section contest along with the prize for most entertaining band. Thanks to all who have passed on congratulations to the band and Mike, it's very much appreciated. Time to continue the hard work and look forward to a busy period of entertaining throughout the festive season.”
