Music: Carol Arrangement – Come, All Ye Shepherds

It’s that time of year again! With Christmas just around the corner, Triumphonic presents three new festive offerings. Firstly, Ruben Schmidt’s arrangement of the traditional Bohemian Come, All Ye Shepherds utilises a quick and playful rendition of the tune, with varied scoring providing constant audial interest.
A brief relaxation in tempo and dynamic precedes an upbeat folk dance- inspired finale, formed of a triplet-based version of the original tune, propelled by pulsating percussion to a satisfying finale.
This musically varied and entertaining arrangement would be an ideal concert piece for middle section or ambitious lower section bands, though it should be noted that tuned percussion is required to make the most out of the score.
