Over £5k raised for Air Ambulance Charity

Keith Muggeridge was left feeling blown away and overwhelmed after the support shown by everyone involved in The Air Ambulance Concert at Christ The Cornerstone Church in Milton Keynes. Commenting on the event Keith said, “It was an absolutely fabulous evening that surpassed any expectation I could have had in every way from Thomas Fountain’s marvellous solo playing, the ensemble’s collective brilliance to the super venue which seemed completely tailor made for such an event. The plentiful audience really enjoyed the show, and unsurprisingly my family (and everyone) were emotionally wrapped up in the whole concert.”

Towcester Studio Band started the evening off, under the direction of Neil Brownless with a set of well played repertoire culminating in ‘Nightingale Dances’ by Matthew Hall. As well as featuring Thomas Fountain with Goff Richards arrangement of ’Dark Haired Marie’. Solo horn player Samantha Buckland also showed what a great singer she is with ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ - the ‘Les Miserables’ classic.

Keith concluded, “I’m also massively grateful to all members of the all star ensemble, which was ably led by Thomas Fountain. It was typically superbly directed on the night by the wonderful Mark Peacock, my old house mate and Fairey colleague, who said he would do anything to help when hearing about the concert. I thought I’d better let him conduct as I remembered him being not the best tea maker!

“All in all, I couldn't have dreamed it would have been such a great night. There is still some money to come in, as the Just Giving page still open, but it looks like we will have raised around £5000 for this fantastic charity to which I owe my life. Thanks so much to everyone for you support.”
