Listen to the Band day change

Listen to the Band is moving from Thursdays to Tuesdays.  Still at the same time of 11.30pm but starting Tuesday 12 April you can find the programme on the same day each week.

On this first Tuesday programme Frank Renton looks forward to the Radio 2 Young Brass Award Final which is live on Friday 15 April at 8.00pm.

Previous winner Ross Knight recalls the day he won the award and tells Frank Renton about his current role as Tuba player in the prestigious Karajan Academy in Berlin.

The live Young Brass Award Final on Friday 15 April features 4 great young  players, the Grimethrope Colliery Band with conductor Robert Childs and the Opera Babes and it’s presented by Ken Bruce and Frank Renton.
