Yorkshire Area Details Announced
The Yorkshire Regional Championship will be held at Huddersfield Town Hall on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd March, with tickets going on sale tomorrow (Monday 13th January). 54 bands will take to the stage across five sections. In the Championship Section two bands will join Black Dyke (pre-qualified) to represent the region at the Royal Albert Hall. Two bands in each of the First to Fourth Sections will represent the Yorkshire at Cheltenham National Finals.
Saturday 1st March will begin at 9.00am with the performances of the 10 bands in the Fourth Section to be judged by Anne Crookston and Benjamin Richeton. It will be followed by the 11 bands in the Second Section (start time approx 12.50pm) adjudicated by Sarah Groarke-Booth and Steven Mead. The day will conclude with the 11 bands First Section bands (start time approx 5.00pm) judged by Stan Lippeatt and Michael Alcorn.
Sunday 2nd March starts at 9.30am with the 10 bands in the Third Section adjudicated by Michael Alcorn and Anne Crookston. The 12 Championships Section bands will be adjudicated by Steven Mead and Christopher Bond with a start time of 2.30pm. Details of the Young Adjudicators panel/Adjudicator Experience Programme organised by the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators will be announced in due course.
