Putting the Co into comedy

The cooperation band added an extra note of charm and hilarity to the New Year’s Day episode of the comedy series Mrs Brown’s Boys by providing a small brass ensemble to play alongside the cast at the BBC television studios in Glasgow.

Fresh off her Christmas Day shenanigans, Agnes Brown had a bright new idea to kickstart the year – transforming her spare room into a B&B. But when an escaped criminal took over her home, Mrs Brown’s attempt at being a landlady went hilariously – and disastrously – wrong!

Flugelhorn player Stephanie Kennedy appeared in the episode collecting for her ‘local’ brass band to support its trip to the European Brass Band Championships. And it isn’t just the cast and viewers who were being invited to this cause, you too can contribute by donating online here
The episode is available on BBC iPlayer so, you can join in the laughs.
