UniRun approaches Target
UniRun is an annual fundraiser run by the UniBrass Foundation. This year eight current or recent studfents representing seven universities are carrying the UniBrass torch the 100km from the contest's 2024 venue in Warwick to its 2025 home in Wales, while raising money to support the work of The UniBrass foundation.
The UniBrass foundation is a registered charity which, as well as running events such as the UniBrass Contest and Band Camp, works to support university brass banding and all those involved with it. By supporting the charity you are enabling not only a bright future for the contest and Band Camp, but also the ability for us to extend what we do and offer more events and opportunities to members of the university brass banding community.
The runners are hoping to raise £250 of sponsorships each over the month of December. A spokesperson for the venture commented, “We're really appreciative of the fantastic fundraisers. They've done an amazing job braving the December weather to complete nearly five-hundred miles of running between them and succeeded in raising valuable funds for the charity".
