Eagley to welcome Mike Lovatt
Eagley Band is delighted to announce that Mike Lovatt will be the star soloist at its 175th anniversary concert in Bolton's Victoria Hall next year.
Eagley MD Chris Wormald adjudicated with Mike at Wychavon this month and following very enjoyable and successful days at the contest, Chris contacted Mike to sound out the possibility of him performing with Eagley in Bolton next year.
Chris said "I've been a huge fan of Mike's playing for over two decades and have seen him play 'live' numerous times in London and Manchester. Meeting him at Wychavon was a personal thrill, as was chatting about many musical memories. I got to thinking what could be better than to have Mike as our star soloist for the Eagley reunion concert in Bolton next year. I got in touch with him and was delighted that he was available for our date and agreed straight away. All of the current and former Eagley players who have already made contact are thrilled they will be sharing the Victoria Hall stage with one of the most iconic figures in UK and world brass playing."
Eagley's 175th anniversary concert takes place on Saturday October 4th 2025. Tickets go on sale in the Spring.
