City of Hull kickstarts Dan Walker’s Charity Bike Ride

One man. One bike. 2 days. 200 miles…Classic FM Breakfast presenter Dan Walker undertook a huge charity bike challenge this October. Dan’s epic Coast-to-Coast challenge saw him cycle from Withernsea & Hull, through his hometown of Sheffield, all the way across to Liverpool, with some musical moments along the way.

On a very windy Thursday last week an ensemble from the City of Hull Band entertained the crowd that had gathered, including the Mayor of Withernsea, as Classic FM’s Dan Walker prepared for his epic ‘coast to coast’ challenge. The band was on hand to provide the necessary ceremony to the occasion and was even featured by Dan on Classic FM's social media reel playing a snippet from The Radetzky March by Strauss. Footage from the event, including the moment Dan set off to a rousing Verdi’s Grand March from Aida provided by the live musicians, can be viewed on City of Hull’s social media pages at: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1689884128536186 and https://www.facebook.com/100063564523765/videos/1711447049631215  Anyone wishing to donate and help raise funds for Global's Make Some Noise can do so at: Dan Walker's Coast to Coast Challenge.
