NYBBGB Alumni Concert 

On 12th October, an alumni band of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain will perform at Regent Hall under the baton of Maj. Sam Hairsine. Sam is an alumnus of the NYBBGB himself and a Director of Music in the Royal Marines Band Service. This free lunchtime concert, a part of the hall’s Saturday bandstand series and featuring music by Herbert Howells is to raise awareness of the NYBBGB and grow the alumni network. 
 
The programme will be: 
March: National Youth (Newsome) 
La Forza del Destino (Verdi) 
A Little Prayer (Glennie arr. Childs) 
Jeannie with the light brown hair (Foster arr. Howarth) 
Crimond (arr. Tovey) 
The Unfortunate Traveller (I. Holst) 
Pomp and Circumstance No.1 (Elgar) 
Cornet Carillon (Binge) 
Serenade (Bourgeois) 
Beyond the Light (Lane) 
Andromeda (Price) 
Three Figures (Howells) 
 
There will be a rehearsal in the morning for a 3pm performance and there are spaces for cornet and horn players. Please contact Sam.Hairsine@nybbgb.org.uk
