Brilliant Start for Foden’s Youth 

The youth band kicked off its 13th season this morning (22nd September) with a rehearsal led by Musical Director Mark Bousie. The organisation was delighted to welcome new and returning members to Sandbach and the band enjoyed being introduced to new repertoire including ‘Rush’ by Samuel Hazo arr. Jonathan Bates, and ‘Fearless’ by Andrew Wainwright. 
 
The MD was glowing in his praise of the young musicians stating, “A brilliant start to a new Foden's Youth season. The level that these young musicians reach (even in the first rehearsal) never fails to amaze us and this year is certainly no exception. Two substantial works this morning; in addition to Andrew Wainwright’s ‘Fearless’, the band also tackled Oliver Waespi’s pretty fearsome, ‘The Raid’ in a quite fearless fashion. Of course, none of this could be done without the amazing work done by all the members’ teachers and the other bands that they play with.”
