Letham is appointed Kirkton MD

Kirkton Brass Bathgate has announced that Kenneth Letham is the band’s new musical director.

A former student of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD), now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Kenneth is a peripatetic brass instructor from Fife with experience of conducting, freelance performing, teaching and arranging. Most recently, he conducted Dysart Colliery Silver Band and he has previously worked with other brass bands including Lochgelly and Shotts St Patrick’s.

Kenneth will start working with Kirkton Brass at the end of the month. The band rehearses in Bathgate on Monday evenings and is currently on the lookout for new players, especially a soprano cornet, a bass trombone and percussionists, to add to both senior and youth bands.
