Schoonhoven Win Dutch Open

The Dutch Open Brass Band Championships, part of the wider Groningen Brass Experience took place last weekend on Saturday 8th June. 19 bands competed across three sections at the De Oosterpoort in the city, with Brass Band Schoonhoven taking the Championship title. Adjudicators Owen Farr, Lito Fontana and Margaret Antrobus awarded the top spot to the band, expertly led by Erik van de Kolk, with a margin of 5 points over runners-up De Bazuin Oenkerk A. Proviniale Brassband Groningen completed the podium prizes.
