French Open Success for Flowers

The 28th French Open Championships recently took place in the historic and picturesque town of Amboise in the Loire Valley. Six bands competed across 4 sections with Flowers taking the honours in the top section.

Commenting on the win, a spokesperson for the band stated, “We are absolutely delighted to have been crowned French Open Champions 2024. The band also won award for the Best March, and Dan Thomas was awarded ‘Best Soloist’ for his rendition of the 3rd movement of Cosma’s Euphonium Concerto! We ended the day by giving the Gala Concert to a packed hall, and what an enthusiastic audience. We’ve had an absolutely fantastic time in Amboise and are so grateful to everyone here for the warm welcome.”
