Withington Manger Collaboration to Conclude

Allan Withington has announced he will conclude his long association with Manger Musikklag in 2025. The partnership began in the 1980s when Allan appeared as a guest with the band. This led to him becoming the band’s conductor during which time he has led them to success in the Siddis Championship, Norwegian National Championships and the World Championship in 2013. Allan has also enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Stavanger Bandm but maintained his connection with Manger, returning last year to conduct them to the runner-up spot at the Nationals.

Commenting on his decision to end the partnership Allan shared, "I think the time is right to explore new avenues, but not before we enjoy several exciting projects, concerts and contests together.” His final appearance with the band will be at the European Championships in Stavanger 2025. Allan added, “I think the concert in Stavanger will be a fitting end to a collaboration which has meant so much to me.”
