Queensland Hat-trick for Brisbane
Brisbane Excelsior Band dominated the recent Queensland State Band Championships, which took place over the weekend of the 22nd-24th September, winning the title for a third successive year. Led by MD Dale Hosking, Brisbane were declared winners of the four individual disciplines with a very assured performance of the set-work, 'Ballet for Band' and own-choice selection 'Music of the Spheres'. Brisbane now sets its sights on the Australian National Championships in Adelaide where they will be directed by David Bremner from Wellington Brass.
