ISSBB prepares for Gala Concert

The International Brass Band Summer School is delighted to be underway this week as preparations begin for the free Gala Concert on 4th August. The ISSBB delivers a fantastic week-long course, with world-class tutors in the beautiful Welsh seaside location of University of Wales, which overlooks the majestic panorama of Swansea Bay.

As always, the faculty is first class with tutors internationally renowned, not only for their musical and performance expertise but also their friendly and affable natures. The instrumental tutors represent the cream of Britain’s performing talent including Tom Hutchinson and Daniel Thomas from The Cory Band, Richard Marshall and Brett Baker from Black Dyke, freelance soloist Owen Farr and Gary Curtin from the Foden’s Band. Under their expert tutelage and the inimitable Musical Direction of Professor Nicholas Childs, delegates are being given the opportunity to explore new repertoire, meet new friends and generally have a fantastic time.

The International Brass Band Summer School is holding its annual Gala concert on Friday 4th August at 7pm in the Great Hall, Swansea University, Bay Campus. The concert will be filled with a range of fun, enjoyable music and is available for everyone to enjoy completely free of charge.
