Foden’s Visits Isle of Man
On the 15th July Foden’s Band travelled to the Isle of Man, on the invitation of Manx Concert Brass. Foden’s has forged a strong friendship with the band over the past 15 years which has seen Principal members of Foden’s appear as guest soloists as well as visits from the entire Foden’s Band, the last being in 2017. Prior t Foden’s arrival, Michael Fowles had been working with the Manx Youth Band as well as Manx Concert Brass who will be appearing at the National Finals in Cheltenham courtesy of qualification from the North West Regional Contest in March. This year’s concert began with massed items involving the three bands before Foden’s rounded off the first half and entire second half to a capacity Villa Marina audience, concluding with a standing ovation. A spokesperson for the band was keen state, “Our thanks to Manx Concert Brass for their invitation and hospitality.”
