NYBBW announces Summer Plans

The National Youth Brass Band of Wales will convene in Carmarthen for its annual residential course, led by Flowers MD and NYBBW alumnus, Paul Holland. The course will culminate in three concerts in the north (Bangor), west (St. Davids) and south (Cardiff) of Wales. The programme will feature challenging repertoire that will include Eric Ball's classic 'High Peak' and Gareth Wood's 'Five Blooms in a Welsh Garden'. Works by Debussy, Walton, Liz Lane, Paul Lovatt-Cooper, Christian Overhead, Jonathan Bates and Jan van der Roost will also feature on the diverse repertoire list. The featured soloist is Lode Violet, the gifted principal cornet of Brass Band Willebroek who will perform major works by Denis Wright and Stan Niewenhuis.
