Full Monty Re-‘Union’ Concert for Charity

Calling all former players of the Stocksbridge Engineering Steels Band /UES Stocksbridge Band of the 1990's; help is required. Unite the Union Band’s longest serving member, Trevor Goodison, was extremely poorly with Covid two years ago. Thankfully, he's back on the mend, and the band want to say thank you to the wonderful team that cared for him, particularly the Intensive Care Unit at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, by arranging a charity concert in support of Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

Commenting on the charity endeavour a spokesperson for the band stated, “Trevor was one of the stars of the blockbuster film 'The Full Monty' and we'd love to pull together a band ‘For one night only ...’ Without the need to 'leave your hat on!' - don't worry, clothes will be mandatory! We'd like to get the ball rolling as soon as possible, so please be in touch by Friday 30th June 2023. The concert will be open to the public and we welcome everyone to come along, whether playing or supporting. Let's make this an evening to remember!”

The concert will take place on the evening of Sunday 20th August 2023, at Crookes Social Club, Sheffield. If you were part of the band during this highly successful period in history, and would love to be part of this exciting evening, please message the band’s Facebook page, Gemma Grayson or David Lindley directly.
