Yorkshire Area Adjudicators

 

Adjudicators have been announced for the Yorkshire Regional Championships due to take place at Huddersfield Town Hall on the weekend of the 4th & 5th March. Dr Robert Childs and Dr Steven Cobb will be making the decisions for the order of merit in the Championship section with 12 bands will competing for the title. Black Dyke Band has pre-qualified for the Royal Albert Hall Final in London so the remaining 11 bands are vying for the two other available qualification places.
 
Two bands in each of the other sections will be aiming to qualify for the Cheltenham National Finals. The judges for these contests are John Winterflood and Anne Crookston (4th Section), Helen Douthwaite-Teasdale and Glyn Williams (3rd Section), Dr Robert Childs and Anne Crookston (2nd Section) and Dr Brett Baker and Glyn Williams (1st Section). A 'Young Adjudicators Panel' has been organised by the Regional Committee in partnership with the Association of Brass Band Adjudicator for the Third Section contest.

Fourth Section (7 bands):
Adjudicators: John Winterflood and Anne Crookston
Commence: 9.00am
Draw: 7.30am

First Section (13 bands):
Adjudicators: Glyn Williams and Dr Brett Baker
Commence: 12.15pm (approx)
Draw: 10.30am

Second Section (11 Bands):
Adjudicators: Robert Childs and Anne Crookston
Commence: 5.15pm (approx)
Draw: 3.30pm

Sunday 5th March:
Third Section (8 bands):
Adjudicators: Helen Douthwaite-Teasdale and Glyn Williams
Commence: 10.00am
Draw: 8.30am

Championship Section (12 bands):
Adjudicators: Dr Stephen Cobb and Dr Robert Childs
Commence: 2.00pm
Draw: 11.45am
