NYMO Status for NYBBGB

Following its successful bid for ACE funding for 2023 to 2026, the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain has also been awarded National Youth Music Organisation (NYMO) status.

This status recognises that the work makes a significant national contribution to improving music education opportunities for children and young people and means we will be jointly funded by ACE and the Department for Education. 

A spokesperson for the NYBBGB stated, “These opportunities were especially evident on the weekend when our Ambassador ensemble (comprising the leaders of each section of the Youth Band) supported the 250 young people taking part in the Brass in Concert Elementary Music Day at the Sage Gateshead. It really was a fabulous day, and wonderful to see so many children engaging with brass music. Well done to everyone involved.”
