Yorkshire Regional Adjudicators Revealed

Over the weekend of the 4-5 March 2023 more than fifty bands will be competing across all sections seeking the honour of representing Yorkshire at the finals of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. With some of the finest Bands in Britain such as Black Dyke, Brighouse and Rastrick, Grimethorpe Colliery, Carlton Main and many others all competing in the Championship Section, few contests are so fiercely competitive. The Yorkshire Regional Committee has announced the adjudicators who will judge the bands at the 2023 Yorkshire Area Championships at Huddersfield Town Hall.

Saturday, 4th March: (9.00am start)
Fourth Section: Anne Crookston and John Winterflood
First Section: Glyn Williams and Brett Baker
Second Section: Robert Childs and Anne Crookston
Sunday, 5th March: (10.00am start)
Third Section: Helen Douthwaite-Teasdale and Glyn Williams
Championship Section: Stephen Cobb and Robert Childs

The Young Adjudicators panel will take place once again in 2023. The section they will be adjudicating on will be announced in due course. Black Dyke Band is pre-qualified for the 2023 Championships Section National Final by virtue of the band’s second place finish at this year’s National Championship Finals.
