EBBA Solo Championship deadline

The European Brass Band Association has also issued invitations to the 7th European Soloist Competition for Brass and Percussion, held from 26-28 April. 

The competitors selected to perform will give two performances (set-piece and own-choice) with piano and the best three will go forward to the Final on 28 April, when they will perform with Brass Band Nord Pas de Calais. 

The 2016 Soloist Competitionhas a new format based onfeedback and analysis of previous competitions, which limits the number of competitors to 30 with the aim of making the standard much higher. “We are also giving the soloists the opportunity to play both an own-choice piece and a set piece,” said Ulf Rosenberg, President of the European Brass Band Association.
