Buxton Festival of Brass 

The competing bands at this year’s Buxton Festival of Brass has been announced. The event takes place on Sunday 15th May and marks the return to the North West Area Brass Bands Association contest following a three year break. James Holt will adjudicate as the 16 bands compete across four sections performing own choice selections. 

Wristbands for entry into the contest which commences at 10.30am can only be purchased on the day and are £7 (under 5s free)

Championship/First Section:
Commences after the Second Section (approx 3.00pm)

Second Section:
Commences after the results of the Third Section (approx 2.00pm)
Dronfield (Genquip)
Haslingden & Helmshore
Royal Buckley Town

Third Section:
Commences after the results of the Fourth Section (approx noon)
Greenall's
Hawk Green
Pleasley Colliery
Skelmersdale
Whitworth Vale & Healey

Fourth Section:
Commences at 10.30am
Dobcross Silver
Fairfield (Buxton)
Rhyl Silver
Stalybridge Old
St John's Mossley
