NCBB to appear at the British Open
The National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain will feature in a special pre-Gala Concert performance under the baton of the well-respected musician and youth advocate Duncan Beckley. The concert will take place in the Jennifer Blackwell Performance space and is free of charge to attend.
Following their pre-Gala Concert performance, the young musicians of the NCBB will have the opportunity to experience the sheer might of two of the world's top brass bands in one of the world's best concert halls as Symphony Hall has provided them with free tickets for the Gala event.
Tickets are now on sale for the 2022 Gala Concert featuring the 2022 European Champions, Cory alongside Black Dyke, who also started the year in winning form at the Yorkshire Regional Championships. Chris Proctor, Head of Programme at B:Music stated, “I'm delighted that we're able to bring the newly crowned champion Cory Band, and Black Dyke together again for the annual Brass Gala at Symphony Hall on 11th September. As part of our ambition at B:Music to support talent development and to continue to support the brass band community, we're also very proud to collaborate with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain in their 70th anniversary year.”
