BBE search for Event Volunteers
Brass Bands England is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support a number of exciting events in 2022. Volunteers will be expected to fulfil a range of duties such as acting as event runners, stage crew, stewards and programme sales. Volunteers will gain experience in events management for complex, large-scale events, experience to enhance their CV, opportunities to attend and be a part of making significant brass banding events happen and opportunities to meet and work with a range of professionals and be part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.
Volunteer Tasks will include:
· Trader support
· Welcome desk
· Meet and greet coaches
· Holding room co-ordinator
· Band runner
· Stage crew
· Adjudicator and music score stewards
· Programme sales
· Box office support
· Event stewards
Volunteering Dates available are:
Friday 25 March 2022 - Youth Champs - Corby
Saturday 26 March 2022 - Youth Champs - Corby
Sunday 27 March 2022 - Youth Champs - Corby
Friday 29 April 2022 - European Brass Band Festival - Birmingham
Saturday 30 April 2022 - European Brass Band Festival - Birmingham
Sunday 1 May 2022 - European Brass Band Festival - Birmingham
Volunteers must be available for a minimum of 1 full day of either event, but preferably more. Volunteers will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check in order to take part. The cost of this will be covered by Brass Bands England. All volunteers must also attend a volunteer training session in advance of their event date. Training sessions will be held:
At the Brass Bands England Offices (Barnsley) on: Saturday 12 February and Sunday 13 February 2022
In Leicester (Venue TBC): Saturday 19 February and Sunday 20 February 2022
Reasonable travel expenses and catering will be provided for both the training days and the event days. Accommodation will also be provided where necessary. Please make BBE aware of any accessibility requirements when applying. This will not impact the assessment of your application, but will allow suitable roles for your requirements to be allocated.
