IET in Person and Online

IET are very excited for the 18th Anniversary edition of the IET Atlanta Festival. It began in 2004 with just 15 participants and over 18 years has inspired thousands – will you be next? Join the IET Atlanta Festival to study with world class artists for teaching, inspiration and connection!  The ‘In-Person’ IET Atlanta Festival will take place June 20-25 in Atlanta GA.  This event will be a unique IET experience limited to only 32 participants, the goal being to offer a highly individual experience for aspiring musicians of all ages and abilities.

Artists for the In-Person IET Atlanta include:

Euphonium

Brian Bowman – University of North Texas (retired) and Willson Artist
David Childs - University of North Texas and Besson Artist
Hiram Diaz - The US Marine Band and Eastman Artist (virtual guest)
Adam Frey – University of North Georgia and Yamaha Artist

Tuba

Øystein Baadsvik – International Tuba Soloist and Miraphone Artist
Carol Jantsch - The Philadelphia Orchestra and Yamaha Artist  (virtual guest)
Warren Deck – New York Philharmonic (retired) and Denver University
Chris Olka – Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Eastman Artist

Costs for the Festival are: 0 (Tuition) - includes 2 private lessons, master class slot, and all group classes and performances and 5 (Housing and Meals) - single room dormitory.

Commenting on the impact of the global pandemic a spokesperson for IET stated, “This will be an in-person event with live performances and instruction that follow current COVID recommendations in regard to performance spacing and protocols. The COVID 19 situation may evolve or change.  We will make every effort to create an inspirational experience for you.  However, circumstances and guidelines may change and the IET Festival will adjust as needed.  Alternative plans, schedules and artists may be necessary due to situations beyond our control.  Refunds will be offered if the event is cancelled.”

For those that cannot make it to Atlanta in June for the In-Person event, another amazing IET Virtual Festival - The IET Worldwide will take place in July. More details will be released at the start of April. It will feature an incredible array of artists and opportunities. If you were part of the virtual IET 2020, you will not want to miss this.
