West of England Regional Results

Adjudicators Jacob Dijkstra and Chris King had their work cut out for them this weekend in Torquay with a plethora of fine performances, however it was Camborne Town under the skilful direction of Ian Porthouse that took the spoils. Commenting on the win a spokesperson from Camborne stated, “We are absolutely thrilled to win today! A huge thank you to Ian Porthouse for leading us on stage today and to Kevin Mackenzie for weeks of preparation.” Flowers had the runner-up spot this year with Paul Holland at the helm and will join Camborne at the Royal Albert Hall for the National Finals in October.

Congratulations are also due to the qualifiers for the Cheltenham Finals particularly the winners of their respective sections: Brunel Brass, Hatherleigh Silver, Poole Borough and Nailsworth Silver bands.
