NASUWT Riverside North of England Champions

Congratulations to NASUWT Riverside under the direction of Professor Nicholas Childs on winning the North of England Regional Championships. The band gave a cultured performance of Philip Sparke’s, ‘A Tale as yet Untold’ leading the adjudicators Sheona Wade and David Hirst to award it first place, ahead of runners-up City of Hull. Both bands impressed and shared out the ‘best’ prizes with the exception of ‘Best Principal Cornet, which went to Reg Vardy, who completed the podium positions. City of Hull will join NASUWT Riverside at te National Finals in London later this year.

Congratulations also to the qualifiers for the Cheltenham Finals, particularly Ripon City, Cockerton, Tewit Silver and Easingwold, the winners of their respective sections.
