Yorkshire Regional Championships 2020

Fifty-three Brass bands will converge on the Town Hall, Huddersfield, from 7 – 8 March to compete in five sections for the honour of being crowned the Yorkshire Champion Brass Band.
 
The current Yorkshire Champion, Brighouse and Rastrick, will defend its title in the Championship Section on the Sunday afternoon against 15 of the UK’s best brass bands, four of which will represent Yorkshire in the Championship Section Final at London’s Royal Albert Hall, on 10 October. The winners and runners-up in sections 1 – 4 will also have the honour of representing Yorkshire in the Lower Section Finals on the 26 and 27 September in The Centaur Centre, Cheltenham Racecourse.
 
The first Yorkshire sectional contest 7 March starts 9:15am and the Sunday (8th) kicks off at 9:30am, whilst the Championship Section commences at 2:30 pm on 8 March. Tickets are available from the Town Hall Box Office: 01484 225755, or online at www.kirklees.gov.uk/townhalls 
 
Please be advised that the Market Hall multi-storey (Alfred Street) is currently closed so alternative parking arrangements will need to be used. Possible other facilities include:
·      The Bus Station (Upperhead Row) car park
·      The Wilko store car park
·      Kingsgate Shopping Centre
·      The Civic Centre car parks
·      All day on-street parking on the two roads leading off the top of Chapel Hill and Milford Street and large car parks further down Chapel Hill both on Firth Street and at Folly Hall.
