Grimethorpe Youth Band in safe hands

Grimethorpe Youth Band has appointed Paul Lovatt-Cooper as its new Musical Director. Paul will begin his new role in auspicious fashion on June 9th at the Youth Band’s next workshop day. The event will take place at Barnsley Civic Hall where principal players from Grimethorpe Colliery Band will join Paul to deliver a day of workshops, culminating with a concert to showcase the day’s efforts.
 
Course coordinator Kim Ward stated, "We're delighted that Paul has agreed to be our new Musical Director. His leadership and infectious musical enthusiasm will be great for our young musicians."
