Foden's and Love Music Trust announce winning Compositions

In January Foden's and the Love Music Trust announced an exciting composers competition that would see four short listed compositions performed as part of LMT's annual Summer Celebration Weekend at Clonter Opera, Macclesfield on the 22nd June, an event that is being supported by Foden's.

Speaking about the initiative, John Barber Director of the LMT commented, “We are delighted that Foden’s Band has joined up with the LMT to support the development of new music and that the winning compositions will be premiered by four of the Love Music Trust’s partner Youth Bands here in Cheshire East. The LMT are extremely proud of the great work and opportunities our partner ensembles provide the young people in our borough and hope that this initiative will provide them with new, enjoyable and quality repertoire, whilst giving a platform for composers to have their music performed by four excellent ensembles.”

The competition coordinator Mark Wilkinson commented, “Foden's are fully committed to Youth Development and are extremely pleased that we have been able to enter into a partnership with the LMT to help develop compositional talent. The competition has attracted entries from across the World and we are extremely pleased by the number and quality of the compositions. Foden's will arrange for the shortlisted works to be published and will shortly make a major announcement about an initiative that will give composers a platform to publish their compositions.”
