Culross returns to lead Grimethorpe

Iain Culross returns to Grimethorpe on the end chair, a position he previously held from 2013-2015. Iain is a household name and is renowned for both his work as a soloist and as a bandsman, most recently as the Principal Cornet of Leyland.
 
A spokesperson from Grimethorpe commented, "We're delighted to welcome back Iain. As a player of international renown and experience he joins us at an exciting time in our future development.
 
“The band members are looking forward to working with him to ensure that Grimethorpe continues to build upon its unique history of artistic and performance excellence."
 
Commenting on his return to the band, alongside Assistant Principal Roger Webster, Iain stated, "I'm delighted to be returning to Grimethorpe Colliery Band. There is no bigger or more famous name in the brass band world, and the vision that the band has developed for its future is exciting and positive. I'm thrilled to have been asked to play a part in it."
