Brass Band Oberösterreich 2018 Austrian Champions

Congratulations to Brass Band Oberosterreich, the 2018 Austrian National Champions. The band were skillfully directed by Ian Porthouse, giving fantastic performances of the set test piece, 'Metropolis 1927' by Peter Graham and own choice work of Jan van der Roost's 'From Ancient Times'. Adjudicators Oliver Waespi, Bert van Theinen and Florent Didier placed the winners 3 points clear of runners-up R.E.T. Brass Band in both parts of the contest. In addition to taking the Austrian title, Oberosterreich will now be invited to compete in the 2019 European Championships in Montreux.
