Black Dyke’s ‘Tour de Yorkshire’
Before the end of the year as well as concerts all around the UK and abroad, from Leicester to Lucerne, the band is going to be doing its very own ‘Tour De Yorkshire’ with no less than 15 events in its home county of Yorkshire.
A spokesperson for the band commented, “Following our first concert in Harrogate this weekend, the band will be giving their supporters a taste of ‘A Brussels Requiem’ ahead of the forthcoming British Open challenge.
“The Yorkshire Area Champions will be presenting their open rehearsal at Morley Town Hall at 8.00pm on Wednesday 5th September. Under the direction of Director of Music Prof. Nicholas Childs they will showcase their preparation on the test-piece, ‘A Brussels Requiem’ by Bert Appermont. Admission is free and doors open at 7.30pm and the rehearsal will start promptly at 8.00pm.”
