100 miles for Crookston

On Sunday 29th July, the Chief Executive of Brass Bands England, Kenneth Crookston will be winding his way around the 100 miles of the London 100 for the amazing people at Brass for Africa.

If you want to know more about this great charity then please visit www.brassforafrica.org to find out about their extremely valuable work. Supporting Brass for Africa can make a huge difference to people’s lives and there is no better example than Ronald’s story - https://youtu.be/9Pnmhq7vEO0 - charting his journey from street kid to playing at the Royal Albert Hall and training to be a lawyer. Other videos outlining the charity’s activities in Africa can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC85K3Rx31frjVsYmBIie0jA and every week Brass for Africa in Kampala reaches over 1000 children from very deprived and difficult backgrounds.

Commenting on the challenge ahead Kenny said, "100 miles is a long way for a 54 year-old, gout-suffering, overweight grandfather with a dodgy shoulder to push himself up and down 6,000 feet of hills, so if you want to make me feel good about going through all that pain and suffering then please consider making a donation on my fundraising page at https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-portal/fundraiserPage?pageId=956680"
