Middle Band Spotlight – Black Dyke Brass Festival 2018
Black Dyke principals Katrina Marzella, Zoe Hancock and Siobhan Bates are to lead the Middle Band Spotlight taking place at Leeds Town Hall on June 3rd.
The new Middle Band Spotlight will bring together Flugel, Tenor and Baritone Horn players to celebrate this unique section of the band. As well as a performance from the Black Dyke principals themselves, the workshop will focus on the role of the middle band, as well as general skills including developing sound, strengthening technique and improving ensemble playing.
Siobhan commented, “We look forward to meeting old friends and welcoming new people! This will be a great event to show the individuality and strength of the Middle Band.“
