Record attempt for Dobcross Youth 

On Friday 30th March Dobcross Youth Band will be attempting to gain an entry in the famous Guinness Book of World Records, by attempting to break the record for the longest brass band rehearsal with an incredible 24-hour marathon.  

Dobcross Youth band celebrate their thirtieth anniversary this year. Since its inception in 1988 the famous youth band has helped produce many players that have gone on to perform with the finest bands in the UK. A spokesperson for the band stated: "If any ex-players or other musicians would like to help the band out in this record attempt, please get in touch." 

This summer the band will be travelling to France and Belgium and will perform at the famous Menin Gate. THe band are hoping to raise £3,000 towards the cost of the trip. To help the fundrasing effort band members will be trying to collect as much sponsorship as possible through their record breaking efforts:
