Band Cymru 2018 

The four semi-finals of the 2018 Band Cymru competition will take place this weekend at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre.  

The first semi-final features Northop Silver, Cory and the Royal Welsh College Big Band on Saturday 17th February at 2.30pm. At 8.00pm the second semi-final will see City of Cardiff (Melingriffth), the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama Brass Band and 3D Brass compete with their entertainment programmes. 

The remaining semi-finals will take place on Sunday 18th February at 2.00pm and 8.00pm when BTM Band, Tylorstown, Brass Beaumaris then Tongwynlais Temperance, Burry Port Town and Cardiff University Jazz Society Big Band perform their sets.  

The semi-finals will be filmed by Rondo Media and broadcast on S4C later this Spring. An international panel of adjudicators will select the four best bands (not necessarily the winner of each semi-final) to qualify for the final which will take place at Swansea University Great Hall in April.
