Radio 2 Young Brass Award semi-finalists announced

BBC Radio 2 recently announced the 8 players who will take part in its 2018 Radio 2 Young Brass Award Semi Final.  They are:

James Nash Trumpet
Paul Mitchell Trumpet
Sam Dye Trombone
Jordan Robertson Trombone
Cameron Scott Euphonium
Christopher Barron Tuba
Thomas Nielsen Cornet
Ross Dunne Tenor horn

They will record a ten minute programme of their own choice with Foden’s and conductor Michael Fowles on 10th February 2018 in the BBC’s Philharmonic Studio.

Their performances will then be sent to the judges who will select 4 to go through to the Final which will be broadcast live from the Royal Northern College of Music on 20th April 2018.
