NYBBS confirm stellar tutorial team

The National Youth Brass Band of Scotland has confirmed the list of superb tutorial staff who will inspire their talented young musicians in 2018.

The cornets will be coached by the experienced Fairey Band cornet player, Brian Taylor and Foden's soprano player Richard Poole, with Lesley Poole tutoring the horn section. Former Grimethorpe euphonium player Michael Dodd will be the euphonium and baritone tutor, with Black Dyke's Brett Baker in charge of the trombones. International soloist and clinician, Les Neish will coach the tubas with Foden's percussionist, Mark Landon completing the line-up.

A SBBA spokesperson commented: "Scottish banding is now reaping the rewards of the long-term investment in youth, and that's why we are determined to ensure the National Youth Band of Scotland will benefit from inspirational tuition from some of the finest brass and percussion players in the UK."
