The Band of the Royal Corps of Signals Open Day  

The Band of the Royal Corps of Signals are holding a special Open Day at RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton on Wednesday 29th November. 

Ian Porthouse, Katrina Marzella, Richard Marshall, Nick Hudson, Simon Gresswell and Helen Varley will lead the day which will include masterclasses, workshops and full band rehearsals. The day is open to all brass band musicians between the ages of 15 and 36, of a Grade 5 plus standard. 

The Band of the Prince of Wales's Division and The Band of the King's Division will also be joining The Band of the Royal Corps of Signals for an outstanding day of music making.  

Major Stewart Halliday, the Regional Director of Music, stated: "This Open Day is a superb opportunity for civilian brass musicians to go behind the scenes of Army brass banding.  

Not one, but all three Army Brass Bands will be rehearsing and performing throughout the day and they will be joined by some of the world's best brass band performers." 

Repertoire for the day will include, 'Paganini Variations', 'Lohengrin', 'Procession to the Minster' and 'Torchbearer'.
