Austrian National Championships 2017
The result may have surprised some of those present at the Austrian National Champioships, however it was Brass Band Froschl Hall who claimed the winner's spoils at the Brucknerhaus Concert Hall in Linz.
The adjudicators Philip Sparke, Luc Vertommen and Isabelle Ruf-Weber took great care with their deliberations when trying to place the three competing bands. Based on performances of Jan Van der Roost's 'Canterbury Chorale' and Philip Sparke's 'Harmony Music' the judging panel handed Brass Band Froschl Hall and M.D. Corsin Tuor their first ever National title and a chance to represent Austria in the 2018 European Championships.
