Antiques Road Trip for Carlton Main Frickley 

Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band featured on BBC One's popular tea time entertainment show, Antiques Road Trip, on Wednesday 18th October. The band were delighted to be approached by the show’s producers in March and were joined by presenter, Roo Irvine, to film in April. Roo joins band members and Band Chairman Ray Sykes to look at the story of colliery bands and joins Toni Durrant for an audition on Euphonium! 
 
Commenting on the episode Ray said: "It was great fun for us to be part of the show and a real honour that Carlton Main were chosen to reflect on our history and where we came from. It’s fantastic that the Antiques Road Trip wanted to reflect on the history of colliery bands and the importance that we are still here today." 

The episode aired at 16:30 on BBC One and is now available online via BBC iPlayer.
