Cory at the London Palladium

Cory Band, under the baton of Philip Harper, recently appeared on ITV's 'Tonight at the London Palladium' hosted by household favourite, Bradley Walsh. Their performance was recorded live in front of an audience of 2,200 people and was broadcast to over 5 million people on 3rd May.

Although Cory are not the first band to have played at the iconic venue, with Grimethorpe having performed there with Peter Skellern in 1978, the band enjoyed flying the flag for Wales whilst preparing for their assault on the European Brass Band Championships.

Philip Harper told BBW: "It was certainly a different way to prepare for a major championship appearance. However, it was too good an opportunity to turn down, despite having to travel from the bandroom at 5.00am on Sunday morning up to London. You have to grab these types of opportunities with both hands, the PR potential for the band is huge." Cory performed Philip Harper's arrangement of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from their Brass in Concert winning, Roald Dahl inspired programme.
