New website for Cory

Cory Band has a new website. Commenting on the new online offering, Musical Director Philip Harper told BBW: “We’re very excited by this development which will help to enhance and reflect our position as leaders in the world of brass bands.

“We hope our new site will have immediate impact with all who visit, but it is particularly aimed at first-time visitors – people who may never have heard a brass band before, and don’t know anything about Cory Band. This is all to do with our passionate desire to constantly develop new audiences for brass band music, and so the site walks visitors through a ‘ground up’ description of who we are and what we do.

“We’ve used some of the fabulous photographs which have been taken of the band in recent years by Ian Clowes, John Southcombe and Chris Howley amongst others, and the designers, Jammy Custard in Cardiff, have made it look a million dollars. But, functionality is just as important in the 21st Century, as an organisation’s website is its public facade 24/7, and so at the heart of the site is an events diary which aims to offer potential concert-goers all they could need in terms of information and incentive to come along and see the band for real.”

At coryband.com viewers are invited to ‘Watch the Magic’ via the band’s YouTube channel, and ‘Meet the Music Makers’ with a selection of member profiles. ‘Don’t miss a fantastic opportunity to discover the brass band sound that is breaking new ground’ is the message from ‘The World’s best brass band’, and those opportunities can be found in the ‘Concerts and Events’ section.

Together with a complete schedule of events throughout 2017, helpful advice in the form of ‘most common questions answered’ is also provided here. Answers to questions like, ‘When do I clap?’, ‘When should I arrive?’ and ‘What if I’m late?’ can all be found.

Finally the website offers visitors the opportunity to ‘Support the Band’ by paying to become a ‘Friend’, ‘Best Friend’, ‘Bronze Patron’, ‘Silver Patron’, ‘Gold Patron’ or by simply donating ‘any amount you wish to’. This fantastic new website is well worth a visit.

Cory Band will be running competitions and giveaways to celebrate the website's launch, so keep a look out on Social Media for the opportunity to take part by signing up to the band’s newsletter.
