How did your alter ego, Jonny Midnight, arrive/develop; does this persona reflect your wild side and have you thought of auditioning as the replacement Bond? You seem to have all the right credentials, including the correct car?

There are many stories flying around as to where the ‘Jonny M’ name originated; everything from dual personality schizophrenia to a stage name as an erotic dancer. It’s great fun listening to other people's perceptions of the name, so I never reveal the truth. Anyway... this is a family magazine! As to the James Bond link… yes I was contacted, but they couldn’t afford me!

You’re one of the most efficient people I’ve ever dealt with, yet you run a large greetings card company, play for the ‘Co’, plus record and solo - how do you fit it all in? Have you got a large entourage and a fully crewed yacht somewhere in the 'Med’?

I am actually very disorganised. Luckily, being my own boss I can pretty much do as I please. So, if something crops up unexpectedly, I can alter my plans quite easily. I probably spend most of my time in the gym now anyway….
