Foden's retain rankings record
As a former number 1 ranked band, Foden’s is familiar with the upper echelons of the Rankings, although a lowly 13th placing at last year’s Championship National Final had jeopardised its record of being the only band to have been ranked in the top-ten continuously since the Rankings were first published. However, a first North West title since 2011, denying its great rival Fairey a first-ever ‘Area’ hat trick in the process, has provided Foden’s with a nice boost to its Rankings points tally and a rise of one place in the latest table.
Although the latest rankings, published on March 8th, incorporate results from the recent Northwest and Yorkshire Regional Championships, results from the West of England, North of England, Midlands, Scottish, London, and Welsh Regional Championships will only take effect next month. So look out for April's rankings to see how the land lies before the European Championships, which this year features 3 top 10 bands in Black Dyke, Brighouse and Cory.
